BREASTFEEDING EDUCATION

Baby positioning is an important aspect of successful breastfeeding. Ensuring a good latch that enables the baby to transfer milk and avoiding damage or trauma to the mothers breast and nipple. For this reason we have purchased eight baby dolls for staff to demonstrate various methods of holding or positions. The mother is then able to hold her baby at the same time and replicate what the nurse is demonstrating. June 2017
