The trust recently purchased two ASTODIA lights for doctors and nurses to use in the neonatal unit. It replaces old equipment that was cumbersome to use and offers greater ease of use, accuracey and hygiene.

With ASTODIA it is possible to identify structures filled with air or liquid deep under the skin surface. ASTODIA is especially suitable for patients in the field of paediatrics and preferably for premature babies and neonates. Venous and arterial vessels can be shown very well.

ASTODIA has an orange  and a red high performance LED each equipped with a dimmer. Astodia's yellow LED creates sharp contrast, clearly showing veins in smaller extremities.

This equipment enhances the practice of those operating it and the comfort and safety of our babies. The neonatal unit is very appreciative of this donation from the trust  valued at $6000.
